Smart agriculture is a new direction of future agricultural development. Traditional agriculture relies on manpower, animal labor and farming experience inherited from generation to generation, which results in low farming efficiency and land utilization.
Based on the above problems, Professor Xiong Zilan’s team developed the smart agricultural robot and precision monitoring system, using automation technology, sensor technology, internet technology, image recognition technology etc. The project realizes the functions including automatic inspection, real-time multi-data collection, database management, image recognition, accurately monitor and manage the agricultural production process etc. It provides data support for the fixed-point and quantitative release of agricultural materials, which makes a substantial increase in the operational efficiency of the agricultural system.
